Patient Safety

Help prevent the spread of COVID-19

We care about the well-being of our patients, visitors, employees, and doctors. We also want to continue to update all our patients about COVID-19 (“coronavirus”) and the steps our office is taking to ensure everyone’s health and safety.

Prevention

We encourage our patients and guests to wash their hands upon arrival and at the conclusion of your visit with us.

If you have an appointment and either you or your escort has a fever, cough, shortness of breath, or flu-like symptoms, please call our office to reschedule your appointment.  If you have been around someone who tested positive to COVID-19 or symptoms of COVID-19 in the last 14 days, please let us know. We can be reached at 931-552-3292. We will be happy to see you when you are feeling better.

Following recommended guidelines for reducing the spread of COVID-19, we have implemented the following policies effective immediately:

  • For nonsurgical appointments (consultation, postoperative visit), we ask that the patient only attend the appointment. If necessary, one visitor over the age of 18 years old may accompany the patient.
  • For surgical appointments, one adult visitor may accompany the patient to the procedure. The visitor must be the adult responsible for driving the patient home (for sedation procedures) and will be asked to remain in the car on premises.
  • Minor patients are to be accompanied by one legal guardian/parent to appointments. Unless being seen as a patient, visitors under the age of 18 will not be permitted, and this includes siblings.
  • Patients and visitors will be screened upon arrival at the facility. Those positive for symptoms will be asked to leave, and the appointment will be rescheduled.
  • A mask will be required to enter the building.

It is our goal with these enhanced policies to provide the safest environment for our patients and staff during this difficult time. We ask that you help us by reporting symptoms of fever, cough, or flu-like symptoms for you and your escorts, not visiting our office while you are sick, and limiting the visitors that accompany you to your appointments with us.

Recommendations for Disease Prevention

  • Avoid large gatherings of 10 or more people.
  • Avoid touching your face and mouth with your hands.
  • Stay home when you are sick.
  • Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
  • Hand sanitizer is effective, but not as effective as soap and hot water.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with your elbow and/or tissue paper, dispose of the tissue paper in the trash, and wash your hands.
  • Clean or disinfect regularly touched household items with cleaning spray.
  • Wear a face mask if you are coughing to prevent the spread to others.

Sincerely,

Cumberland Surgical Arts & Assoc.

Exceptionally high standards of dentistry

"I had a really great experience getting my wisdom teeth extraction here! Dr. Griffith made sure I was incredibly comfortable considering it was my first time going under anesthesia and I was really nervous. He told me everything I wanted to know and was very patient with me. Val, the assistant was so kind to me and made me feel so much better going into my procedure. She knew all the right things to say and definitely made an impression. They both were amazing and I would recommend anyone to go here!"

"Dr Griffith's whole team was fantastic! They got us in so fast and Val, Courtney and Jenny were a delight! They even helped me troll my daughter with some selfies added to her camera roll (at my request) :)"

"Very Professional. Dr Griffith and his team ( Jenny & Jessie) was absolutely incredible and made sure I was on and was informative about everything they were doing."

"Dr. Griffith and his team were absolutely amazing. Informative and quick. My son had his wisdom teeth the removed today and they weee so kind and communicated with me during the entire appointment. Highly recommend, and they take Tricare."

"Dr. Griffith and Jessie made my entire experience easy and stress-free. They were professional and thorough, but also kind and reassuring, which made a big difference for me. They explained everything clearly, kept me comfortable, and turned what I expected to be a stressful visit into a smooth and even pleasant experience. I even left with a free T-shirt, which made the visit that much better! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for dental care you can truly feel good about."

"The ladies in there are so kind, Val and Jenn. Dr. Griffith is the ABSOLUTE BEST, I've been there twice for teeth extractions, I've felt hardly any pain afterwards. Dr is gentle and kind."

"Dr. Griffith and his team were amazing! Our son got his wisdom teeth pulled and they explained everything to us throughly."

"My husband was seen by Dr Lee and there could not have been a better oral surgery experience. As we arrived, Andrea listened carefully to our somewhat unusual dilemma and set everything in action. Each staff member was both professional and kind. This office is a model of excellency that others would do well to emulate."

"Absolutely loved this place. For months I couldn’t find anyone who would take new patients and accept our insurance. They were all very welcoming and accommodating and my husband was able to wait with our kids (for those without babysitters). It was very fast and the recovery was also easy and fast. Definitely recommend for wisdom teeth extractions Dr. Griffith along with nurses Jenny, Destiny and Val were fantastic and very friendly loved my experience!"

"I am rewriting this review and it went from 5 star to 1 star. After receiving a biopsy I was asked to pay for the biopsy up front and I did and after that I submitted the claim to my health insurance and they paid for the biopsy but Cumberland Dental refused to pay me my money back. After 4 calls to their office they stated they would audit my account and I still have not received my no money and the insurance company stated they have never received a bill. Dr Lee done a great job but his staff is terrible. I will not go back here."

"Dr. James Griffith and his team were amazing! I had a lot of anxiety about getting my wisdom teeth extracted, but Dr. Griffith explained everything very well and left me with no concerns. Surgery was done in about 30-40 mins and I had no pain at all afterwards. Little to no swelling either! Healed up quickly and well! Scheduling was also a breeze, they had appointments available after my consult as soon as a couple days later and the lady who does the scheduling/insurance was very kind and helpful."

"Dr. Lee was so kind and very professional he explained everything to us. His nurses are so sweet and professional.. we will not go anywhere else."

"Dr. Lee and all his assistants took great care of me during my procedure. He really helped put my anxiety at ease and helped me get through everything. I would like to especially mention Destiny, she really helped calm my nerves and is a very genuinely kind person."

"Dr. Lee and Auttie were amazing"
